Following is how a typical pre-move orientation day works:

• Your counsellor meets you in the morning at your hotel to discuss preselected parts of Paris and its suburbs.
• All day, he or she will explain schools, the French education system, healthcare, shopping and dining areas, public transport, the banking system, and the French way of life as well talk about the districts where you might want to live. You counsellor will answer all your questions to help you take the right decisions.
• The aim is to make you feel comfortable and ensure a trouble-free move.
• At the end of the afternoon, the counsellor will accompany you back to your hotel and resume the main points covered during the day. Your counsellor will give you a list of useful Web sites and a map of Paris.
